At Telma Skin Clinic, we offer a range of skin rejuvenation treatments that assist with correcting a variety of indications and aid in restoring your skin’s natural radiance. Treatments for skin rejuvenation include a variety of modern, non-invasive methods that focus on common ageing symptoms, UV damage, uneven skin tone, and various other indications. Treatments for skin rejuvenation function by enhancing collagen formation, boosting cellular turnover, and stimulating your skin’s natural healing mechanisms. This results in the regeneration of skin that is healthier, firmer, and appears more youthful. Unlike the ablative skin resurfacing (also available at Telma Skin Clinic) which involves a significant downtime, the skin rejuvenation treatments are non-ablative and do not involve any downtime which means that you can go back to your normal routine immediately. Our laser skin rejuvenation treatments includes:
ClearLift (1064nm Nd:YAG laser)
Clear Skin Pro (1540nm Er:Glass laser)
CoolPeel (10600nm CO2 laser in CoolPeel mode)
Every therapy is individually tailored by our knowledgeable staff to address your unique needs and objectives, resulting in the greatest outcome.

Laser skin resurfacing often involves partially removing upper layers of the skin. Unlike the skin rejuvenation treatments which do not involve any down-time, skin resurfacing often involves a down-time. CO2 laser (Deka SmartXide, 10600nm) is the gold standard in skin resurfacing. However, the downtime associated with this laser is often long and varies from ten days to two weeks, depending on the intensity. The alternative laser with a shorter down-time is the Er:YAG laser (Alma iPixel Er, 2940nm). The down-time for the Er:YAG laser is usually between 5 to 7 days.…Read Less

Pigmentation is the term used to describe the colouring of the skin, hair, eyes, and other body parts. Melanin, a pigment, is principally responsible for the existence and distribution of pigments in these body parts. Melanocytes are cells found in the skin’s top layer, which are responsible for producing melanin. Genetic factors play a major part in determining the kind and amount of melanin that is present in a person’s skin, but environmental factors like sun exposure can also have an impact. Age spots, sunspots and freckles, are among the pigmented lesions that we can safely and precisely treat using Alma ClearLift laser (Q-switched 1064/532nm). Our laser treatments function by giving controlled energy to the pigmented regions, dissolving the extra melanin that is the cause of the pigmentation, and encouraging the body to eliminate it naturally. You can expect to form a minor crust post treatment which will naturally fall off within a week’s time, revealing bright and even skin.…Read Less

Laser technology is attracted to the pigment within the tattoo which causes rapid expansion within the cell, leading them to burst. As a result, tattoo ink is fragmented into the bloodstream and is eventually engulfed by the body’s natural immune system (phagocytosis).…Read Less

Scars are part of body’s healing process and are caused by damage to the skin. When skin is injured, the body creates new tissue made of collagen to help reseal itself.
Stretch marks, also known as ‘striae’ are a form of scarring that occurs due to the rapid expansion of the skin. When the skin is stretched abruptly, it alters the collagen and elastin fibres and increases inflammation within the area, commonly seen as red/purple lines. Once these areas mature they tend to lighten giving them a pale and wrinkled appearance, known as striae alba. It is best to treat stretch marks during its initial stages for optimal reduction.
At Telma Medical we can treat stretch marks by either ablative lasers such as Er:YAG 2940nm and CO2 10600nm (Alma iPixel Er, Deka SmartXide Punto) or the non-ablative Er:Glass 1540nm laser (Clearskin Pro).…Read Less

Acne is a result of inflammation of the hair follicles, on areas such as the face, back and chest. Symptoms include blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, cysts and redness. In very severe cases, acne can cause permanent scarring, hyperpigmentation and pitting of the skin.
Alma Lasers invented the revolutionary Clearskin Laser (Er:Glass 1540 nm) to treat stubborn and severe cases. The laser system is specially designed to combat all three catalysts, including excess sebum, dead skin cells, and bacteria. Results are long-lasting, and the procedure is virtually pain-free with no need for needles, numbing, gels, or lengthy appointments. You can come in with troubling pimples and walk out with clean, rapidly-healing skin in less than 30 minutes!
The laser is non-ablative, which means that it heats up the tissue, but does not destroy it. This accurate laser treatment for acne targets the dermal layer under the skin, blood circulation, and cellular renewal. By penetrating under the surface, your skin quickly heals and regenerates the areas that were affected, even though nothing was actually destroyed or hurt in the process.…Read Less

- Oil Control
Overproduction of oil can cause clogged pores, the development of blackheads, and acne breakouts. By gently exfoliating with the carbon peel, we are able to gently draw out these impurities and clear the skin of any blockages.
- Even Skin Tone
The appearance of pigmentation irregularities including age spots, UV damage, and hyperpigmentation is improved with the use of the carbon peel. It encourages a skin tone that is more even and radiant.…Read Less

Chemical Peel
The Skin Renewal Cycle
The surface of the skin regularly undergoes a process of self-renewal which takes place every 28 days. During this process, new skin cells created deep within the skin gradually move upwards towards the surface where they form the skin we see. As we age, this process slows down leading to any of these common concerns:
- Dull complexion
- Uneven skin tone
- Rough skin texture
- Acne, due to the buildup of dead skin cells clogging the pores.

Chemical peels are acids that act as chemical exfoliants. When applied to the skin’s surface, these acids dissolve the cellular bonds holding the skin’s cells together. This allows redundant old cells seen on the skin’s surface to shed off and be replaced by healthy new ones.
Common Chemical Peel Types and Strengths
Chemical peels come in different acid types and strengths. The most common types of acids used for chemical skin peeling are glycolic, lactic, and salicylic acids. These acids can be used individually or could be used together in different concentrations to achieve customized results based on the client’s skin concerns. The higher the concentration of the acid the stronger the peel and the more pronounced the results. Stronger peels do come with risks if not performed by a trained professional. Therefore, it is essential to seek a qualified professional to determine and perform the appropriate peel for you.
Benefits
Chemical peels are a versatile tool in skin clinics as they provide the clinician the flexibility to target several skin concerns during the treatment session. This can be achieved by using a single peeling acid individually or in combination with other acids in a premixed formula. The numerous benefits of chemical peels include:
- Reduction of active acne
- Reduction of inflammation (redness) post acne scarring
- Controlling oily skin (salicylic acid) and dry skin (Lactic acid)
- Promoting collagen production resulting in improvement of fine lines
- Increasing absorption of skincare products to maximize their benefits and effectiveness
- Improving skin tone by controlling pigmentation
- Refining skin texture
What to Expect During Treatment
During a chemical peel the client may expect to feel some warm tingling and heat on the skin during application and removal. Post treatment it is normal for the client to leave the clinic slightly red (erythema) with some minor swelling (oedema). It is important to be diligent with sun protection (using sunscreen, wearing hat etc) as the skin will be highly reactive to the sun one week post. Minor dryness and shedding can also be experienced during this time as well as itching, it is important to avoid any excess friction or rubbing of the skin. …Read Less
IPL and E-light (RF skin tightening)
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) was introduced for cosmetic application about 20 years ago. Unlike lasers which emit coherent light at specific wavelengths, IPL devices emit lights over a broad spectrum and multiple wavelengths. IPL can be used for the following applications:
Hair Removal: IPL is commonly used for hair removal treatments. The intense light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicles, leading to their destruction and subsequent reduction in hair growth. At Telma Medical our primary machine for hair removal is a laser machine. So we do not use IPL for hair removal unless the client asks for it.
Skin Rejuvenation: IPL can address skin concerns such as sun damage, age spots, freckles, and redness. The light energy targets pigmented and vascular lesions, promoting a more even skin tone. This can be combined with other skin rejuvenation treatments we provide at Telma Medical

Vascular Lesions: IPL is used to treat vascular lesions and skin redness (Rosacea).
Pigmented Lesions: IPL can target excess melanin in the skin, addressing issues such as age spots, sunspots, and pigmented lesions.
The IPL machine available at Telma medical is one of the most advanced machines on the market equipped with optical filters which enables the delivery of the narrowband light to target specific skin conditions and concerns.
Why choose IPL treat at Telma Medical?
Patients’ safety is our first priority

At Telma Medical the treatments are delivered by qualified laser technicians and dermal clinicians who are expert in using the machine and delivering the treatment with a safe intensity level.
Narrowband IPL for a tailored treatment
The IPL Machine used at Telma Medical is equipped with a set of filters which allows for narrowing down the IPL light for a specific indication. This enables us to customize the treatment based on your needs.…Read Less

- The energy creates thermal coagulation points, triggering a natural healing response in the body.
- Collagen production is stimulated, leading to tighter and firmer skin over time.
Treatment Areas
- Face & neck: HIFU is often used to lift and tighten sagging skin on the face and neck, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
- Brow lifting: HIFU can be targeted to lift the eyebrows, providing a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
- Jawline contouring: It helps improve the definition of the jawline and reduces the appearance of jowls.
Procedure
- The treated area is marked with a pencil into a gridded pattern.
- A gel is applied to the treatment area
- The ultrasound focused energy is delivered through a handpiece that contacts the skin. After each application, the handpiece is moved slightly to cover the whole treatment area.
- Patients may experience a mild tingling or warmth during treatment, but the procedure is usually well tolerated.
Results and Recovery
- Some redness or mild swelling may occur after the procedure, but it is temporary.
- Patients can resume normal activities immediately, as there is no downtime associated with HIFU.
- Results are not immediate and may take a few weeks to months as collagen production increases.
- The patient will be assessed after three months and additional sessions may be required to achieve the desired outcome
- Maintenance treatments are usually done at longer intervals (6-12 months)
