How do I schedule an appointment?

Are skin treatments covered by Medicare?

Laser and facial treatments, including cosmetic and non-medically necessary procedures, are generally not eligible for Medicare rebate. Medicare primarily covers medical services and treatments that are deemed essential for the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of specific medical conditions. Cosmetic and aesthetic procedures, such as laser treatments and facials, are typically considered elective and are therefore not covered by Medicare.

How much is an Initial consultation?

An initial consultation is $49 which will be deducted from your first clinical treatment. This credit is only valid on a client’s file for one month to which it expires if not used on any clinical treatment.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, appointments are required for most of our services. This ensures that you receive personalized care and minimizes waiting times. You can schedule an appointment through our website, by phone, or by visiting our clinic.

What treatment is most suitable for me?

During your initial consultation our experienced dermal clinicians and skin therapists will assess your skin and discuss your concerns. Based on this evaluation, they will recommend the most suitable treatments for your unique needs.

How should I prepare for my appointment or procedure?

Specific instructions will be provided when you schedule your appointment or procedure. Generally, it’s advisable to arrive with clean skin and, if necessary, to avoid wearing makeup or skincare products. Strict avoidance with excessive sun exposure is also advised 1-2 weeks prior to treatment.

What should I expect after a procedure?

Post-procedure instructions will be provided by your dermal clinician or therapist. These instructions will vary depending on the procedure, but they typically include guidelines for skincare, sun protection, and any necessary follow-up appointments.

Can you recommend skincare products for my skin type?

Yes, our dermal clinicians/skin therapists can recommend skincare products tailored to your skin type and concerns during your consultation.

How many sessions of a treatment do I need?

It really depends on the condition, the practitioner will recommend the number of sessions while preparing your treatment plan.

How many days do I need to stay at home? How much downtime is involved?

The downtime depends on the treatment you recieve. Most of the treatments involve some minimal/no downtime and the endpoint is mild redness that will last a couple of hours. Ablative lasers may involve a longer downtime that may range from 3-10 days. The dermal clinician will go through all your options with you so you can make an informed decision.
